How the firm works
Terms disclosed before you ask for them
These are the standing terms of the practice. None of them depends on the size of the matter, and none of them changes once work is under way.
The first conversation is free
There is no charge to establish whether there is any necessary work to be performed to meet your goals.
The price is given upfront
Flat rates for estate and trust planning, and entity formation, hourly for transactions. Either way the figure is disclosed in writing before drafting begins.
Drafts arrive early
Documents are sent five to ten business days before a signing, so there is time to read them without a pen in your hand.
Correspondence is answered timely
The firm does not serve as trustee
Drafting the trust and acting as trustee are separate roles. This firm will not serve as trustee.
No referral fees, in either direction
Nothing is paid for a referral and nothing is accepted for one, so a recommendation carries no compensation behind it.
Please read before sending
Contacting the firm does not create an attorney-client relationship
Submitting this form, sending an email, or leaving a voicemail does not by itself make you a client of the firm. Please do not send confidential information, documents, or sensitive details before the attorney-client relationship is established in writing.
The firm may already represent someone whose interests are adverse to yours, which is one of the reasons an engagement is confirmed in writing before any substantive discussion.
